Default E36 Transmission...

Owning this 325 lately got me thinking... When this auto trans goes out on me, how much would a manual swap cost (parts & labor) and how much is a typical rebuilt auto trans?

rebuilding auto would be silly. would you be doing manual swap yourself or shop? I did it my self and I was around 1500, but I went with ZF unit, LTW flywheel, shifter kit, and everything else. you could do it for around 1000 or slightly below if you try.
